Barrel Wash
A traditional method of washing to get a special bleaching of fabric and a
nice feeling in the garment.
In the past, laundered clothing is in barrels (Barrel) or reservoirs. The traditional method developed by each generation, but the method was eventually replaced by machines. A new type of enzymes that may affect the bleaching, but not the fabric, was developed. The new enzymes in combination with the traditional washing of the thin, allows one to produce garments with a unique finish and color. In addition, the laundry is clean and by-products are biodegradable. Kakadu call this type of washing and bleaching of the Barrel Wash.

Over time, developed a washing method for our work has been heavily contaminated by miners, builders, farmers and others. Stains absorbed and penetrated deep into the fabric and substantially more powerful fabrics required a special washing process. They used natural enzymes that could loose dirt from the fabric and the method was that the clothes had a special feeling and finish. Kakadu describes this as the "Gunn-worn wash" and the aim is simply to produce a "rugged vintage look".
